Greendog’s space, called the urban farm, is both dog-friendly and green. Located in Atlanta’s Castleberry Hill neighborhood, the building itself, is recycled. Once a manufacturing facility, it now resembles a cozy barn in the midst of a truly urban setting. Complete with wood fencing, hand-crafted gates and wrought iron hardware, every detail of the urban farm was designed with love and care. Each of our 40 eco-dens has an individual gate, hand-crafted wrought-iron window, and private locker for personal items. Play areas are enclosed with access to the back porch where dogs have freedom to run in and out as they please. Our serene bath, known as the water hole, features an ample tub surrounded by subway tiles and green glass accents. Among the many green practices, greendog™ has incorporated are the grey water recycling system, which allows for the recapture and safe reuse of all grey water. Low VOC paint used throughout greendog™ ensures that dogs have clean air to breathe. Compact fluorescent bulbs are used in all of light fixtures and all cleaning products are all-natural and ecologically-sensitive.
